Feedback and Criticism — Are they beneficial?

It is true that no one likes to be criticized but taking feedback, be it negative or Positive is essential for any firm and its employees. I say taking feedback optimistically is a healthy and growth indicative sign.

Do you want to know why and how it helps us?

In my view, “Effective teams do not defer critical reflection; they create through feedback and criticism.”

Taking feedback and criticism positively helps a company improve its services. Similarly, cheerful, or positive feedback encourages the consultants and boost their spirit. Having said that, it is essential to also take negative feedback given by clients, especially that comes as escalation or the weekly feedback calls with managers. Instead of arguing and trying to justify without agreeing, it would be wise to hear them out first from their viewpoint and then see how this situation could be improved.

At times, it could be higher demands from the clients or cases where the criticism or escalation that is not fully agreeable. This could be especially when some information missing, misunderstanding or work overload that could justify the situation of the employees. Even in such situations, it is advisable to first listen to the client’s version completely and optimistically before justifying your case and proposing best possibilities of mitigating these issues. That way client will in most cases have confidence and lead to better relationship. They will trust the issues to be fixed and trust us.

This way, constructive feedback at work, makes employees better grasp their strengths and areas for improvement. Benefits include improved professional development, clearer expectations, greater working relationships, and overall organizational progress.

Therefore, we at Proiuvo, do regular surveys and request feedback from clients’ time to time. This helps know how we are serving and how we could do better.
