Methodologies/tools of Agile framework:

Agile methodologies provide an edge through the incremental and constant delivery of value to the customer.

Among the countless methodologies, we can highlight a few of them.

Scrum: Scrum is an agile development process where the client benefits from a product that is in tune with the latest market demands. The framework adapts itself to changing market conditions and incorporates those changes in the product development cycle ln the development process. Scrum is built around the concept of continuous delivery, where requirements and solutions evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organising cross-functional teams. It involves short development cycles and the basic units of work called sprints which refer to the iterative and uninterrupted improvement of a product or service.

  • Scrum creates transparency, focusing on communication and collaboration to ensure that teams deliver high-quality projects promptly. This approach ensures that the client receives a product that is in line with their requirements, as well as changes in the market.
  • Additionally, with shorter and more frequent intervals of delivery the customer can have access to a functioning product faster. As a result, the organisation's overall development process is improved and it can adapt quickly to changing circumstances
  • The Product owner of the process coordinates with the development team led by the scrum master by breaking down the cycle into lesser iterative procedures of an ideal and efficient product lifecycle, facilitating feasible deliverables in a short time.
Kanban: The word Kanban originates from Japan and means “Just in time”. Each step of the project flow divides the Kanban board into columns representing the corresponding project flow. A new card is created when the data in the table changes according to the development of a new task. This framework is used among the business sectors like HR and marketing.

Extreme Programming (“XP”): This framework involves a simple way of working involving the developers, managers and customers which proves to be an efficient way of testing the software from the beginning. The tool promotes paired programming through simple code.

Scaled Agile Framework(SAFe): This framework involves the practices and patterns of an agile that work in managing the challenges of the large firms; it intends to scale from individual to the level of an enterprise through a centralized decision-making.

Beyond these, there are some more frameworks which include Crystal, Adaptive software development (ASD), Disciplined agile delivery, RAD (Rapid Application Development), Feature-driven development (FDD), and Agile Unified Process (AUP).

Depending on the availability and requirements of a project, an agile framework deploys various tools for development like

Jira: This is a software application and a tool that relates to tracking the bugs and errors in the project management system through streamlining in the project management. Team members collaborate to access the information related to the changes in the tracked development.

Confluence: This is a web-based tool on a Java-based application that relates to a collaborated shared workspace that organizes the detailed content of the project related to the strategies, design and documentation. In other words, creation, organisation and storage of the content.
